This is something that I have been struggling with lately. Psalm 23 begins with “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” This command is hard to follow!
I want a lot of things in life: success, a family, security, possessions, the list can go on and on. But we can only find God’s Peace when we stop wanting, and stop worrying, and instead follow Him as sheep follow a shepherd.

The Holy Spirit, whom the soul knows, is witness therefore. But the proud and the self-willed do not want to surrender to God’s will because they like their own way, and that is harmful for the soul.
